Cupping

Myofascial Cupping is a form of trigger point therapy and myofascial release. It incorporates various stretching and massage techniques with the application of slightly suction cups. Myofascial cupping seeks to lift and separate the soft tissue, stimulating greater nutrient supply and fluid movement throughout the soft tissues. In doing so,  myofascial cupping helps your body to achieve an increased range of motion.

A myofascial cupping treatment usually will begin with general massage and palpation to pinpoint and discover target areas. Cups are then placed on the targeted areas and engaged in order to create a negative pressure within the cup. It is the negative pressure inside of the cup that will separate and lift the soft tissues. The cups can also be moved around and along the affected tissues, helping to stretch the tissues and bring in fresh nutrient enriched and oxygenated blood.
